Water Where It Shouldn't Be?
Standing water in the yard. A lawn that stays soggy for days after rain. Ground that slopes toward the house instead of away from it. A basement that gets damp after storms because of water collecting outside. These are grading and drainage problems, and they don't fix themselves. Stark and Summit County's clay-heavy soil makes it worse. Water sits instead of soaking in.
Regrading: Fix the Slope
If your yard's slope is sending water toward the house or pooling in low spots, regrading reshapes the ground so water runs off the way it should.
